Creative Networks

I have explored how social networks among artists and firms are related with creativity and innovation. For this purpose, I have combined sociological concepts with extant strategic management and organizational studies literatures.

Diverse and Inclusive Networks

Networks play an important role in including or excluding individuals, frequently generating durable inequalities. Within this research stream, I explore the mechanisms associated with the inclusion/exclusion of women executives, black students, and other minority groups into diverse social contexts.

Networks and Meaning

Networks are infused with meaning and can also be used as a tool for expressing meaning. From this perspective, I have developed the analyses of semantic networks, as well as the joint usage of social network analysis and computational text analysis in order to explore how networks and culture are related.
